Enlightenment is busy this time of year as squirrels scurry from tree to tree collecting food for the winter.
October 4, 2025 – Palo Flechado Pass, New Mexico – The aspens still have their autumn color, but with every gust of wind, the leaves spiral to the ground. Today, the Palo Flechado hiking trail is hidden under golden leaves. It is beautiful, but also a sign that the end is near.
Light exists because of darkness, and darkness gives shape to light — each defines the other.
